Record Store Day will take place at record stores country-wide on April 18th, 2009. Limited editions/special releases by various record labels, bands, and music artists will be available for purchase. To add to the exciting news, there will also be live music and listening parties so bring your wallets and put on your dancing shoes! At various record stores in New York City, the limited edition music releases will be available for purchase at the stores exclusively (no online orders). Green Day is rumored to appear at New York's Bowery Ballroom on May 18. That's 3 days after the release of Green Day's 8th album, "21st Century Breakdown". This will be an uncharacteristically small venue for Green Day. But, they have been doing a lot of small concerts recently, possibly being mindful of the weak economy. The new album's first single, "Know Your Enemy," is supposed to launch April 16. The video for "Know Your Enemy," directed by Matthew Cullen, will air April 24 on all MTV and VH1 channels worldwide.
